Have you guys seen this yet? It is a pci express card that you could use to have solid state virtual memory (or you could store actual files on it). What does that mean?
It is faster to write to a solid state drive than to a hard drive in most cases. This is why writing to ram is faster than writing to your hard disk, thus when you are using lots of hard disk space, your computer may slow down as it can't use as much virtual memory.

Something like this would greatly speed up things as it would be able to store the swap file on a solid state drive where it is able to read and write almost as fast as to ram. Which says a lot in terms of gaming.

The largest one they look to be offering is a 320 gb card. Which if you have 3 of those, that would be near a terabyte of solid state memory (or we could call it ram if we wanted to :D ). Way more than what you would need for many years considering we are still working with only an average of 2 gb in computers nowdays for ram.

It doesn't say, but gamers and webhosters will like things like this. It is a easy way to add massive performance just for memory. Just know that ram plays a big part in how many applications you can run side by side actively (Not just running in background but actually taking processes and cpu)

Does it say the size of the card or the price? I dont think it will be too much, considering you can get 8gb sd flash cards for like 30 bucks and you can guy 64 gb solid state drives for like 140.

Yes in one of the pdf files. If I remember them it was like 80 gb, 120 gb, and 320 gb cards. Which is still fairly good here.

The flash drive thing isn't as important. You wouldn't achieve near dram speeds across usb 2.0, I think only USB 3.0 may get near that. This plugs directly into the motherboard via the pci express port so its running in realtime with the system. Its basically a ram expansion slot to add more ram than you have by default.

I wouldn't really use this for storage. Even though its solid state like flash drives, it isn't exactly portable. So the only use I see it for is boosting some ram by setting it up as a drive and then putting your page/swap file on that drive and letting it take the full space.
